The Emerging Professionals Committee includes both Young Architects and Architectural Interns. These young professionals are the future leadership of the AIA. Recognizing this, the AIA College of Fellows has created this special category within the AIA to promote professional growth and leadership development. Acting as a collective voice for young architects nationwide, the Emerging Professionals Group is focused on issues uniquely relevant to young architects, including starting a firm, advancing within an existing firm (leadership/early career development), career alternatives (both within and beyond traditional practice), and balancing professional and personal life.

AIA Asheville envisions that the Emerging Professionals will lead the way into the future for our organization by establishing young, ambitious leaders in our architectural community.

An ARE Study Cooperative is forming. The aim is to provide study support and to collectively purchase study materials which may be used by members. Interns in all stages of the IDP / ARE process are encouraged to attend.
