The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the nation's largest organization representing members of the architectural profession. AIA is committed to strengthening the value of the architectural profession in the building industry. As such, AIA Asheville strives to provide members with a network of support and information among allied professionals in the western North Carolina region and promotes communication among all members of the design and construction industry. Non-architects, such as engineers, planners, landscape architects, sculptors, muralists, artists, and those in government, education, journalism, manufacturing, industry, and other fields allied to architecture may join at the local (AIA Asheville) and/or state (AIA North Carolina) level as Allied members.

Allied memberships are available only to individuals. Companies are invited to become corporate sponsors. Go to sponsorship.
Annual dues are $ 100.00. Memberships run on the calendar year. Dues for memberships obtained after July 1 will be one-half the annual amount. After September 1, full dues will be applied to the following year.
To request an application form, click here. Dues payment is required to be submitted with your application. Membership application must be approved by the AIA Asheville’s Executive Committee.
Renewals
Renewal dues are due on January 15th. Renewal invoices will be mailed in early December for the following year.
